Our Founder & CEO

Dr. W. Davies Owens has spent more than 25 years helping leaders, educators, and parents communicate with purpose and clarity. A seasoned voice in classical Christian education and organizational leadership, Davies has served as a Head of School, professor, speaker, and entrepreneur—guiding others to lead with conviction and communicate with care.

Today, as CEO of ZipCast, Davies is pioneering a new model for organizational communication—helping schools, associations, and mission-driven organizations strengthen trust and engagement through short-form, voice-based media. He is also the host of BaseCamp Live, a long-running podcast equipping parents and educators with practical wisdom for raising the next generation.

Davies teaches in the master’s program for classical school leadership at Gordon College and serves on the Board of Academic Advisors for the Classic Learning Test (CLT). He holds an M.Div. from Duke Divinity School and a doctorate from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.

Davies and his wife, Holly, have been married for over 30 years and are the proud parents of three grown children.
